Refuse Derived Fuel Fail Safe Closed ValvesThis is the first contract we have closed with this end user. Previously, they have been using a valve supplied by a direct competitor to Macawber Dome Valves, but were looking for a more competitive price, which Macawber was able to offer. The controls are quite special as they are not only explosion proof, but additionally, if utility and power supplied to the valve fails at any time the valve will automatically close and pressurize the seal. The valves are CSA listed. These Dome Valves will be mounted on customer’s lock hoppers, but, the exact process is proprietary. For service in Quebec, the valves required Macawber to seek out approval for a Canadian Registration Number, or CRN, which Macawber successfully achieved.
