The advantage of the low velocity dense-phase pneumatic conveying technology applied to food materials handling is the ability to avoid particle degradation for fragile materials.

This is achieved well with the use of low velocity transfer of the materials without fluidizing the material. The mass of material travels along the pipeline at extremely low velocity as little as 2 metre per second. A special machine was introduced for certain food materials in which the conveying pipeline is maintained completely full of material without any fluidization and therefore inter particle agitation.

The Super Denseveyor® has successfully demonstrated this capability with whole peanuts and half peanuts. Additionally, the low transfer velocity of the Denseveyor® has been widely used for various other fragile material requirements such as raisins and various grains and pulses.
