The requirements of plastic granules are significant
to avoid streamers (angel hair), which damage
down stream processes. The streamers are produced
from high velocity pneumatic conveying systems
that are unable to prevent degradation of fragile
materials. The Denseveyor® and
recently introduced MiniDenseveyor® are
designed for this requirement and achieve much
lower transfer velocities.
The
Denseveyor® system design
avoids the use of rotary valves, a traditional
method of conveying in a dilute-phase.
The
absence of continuously moving parts in the Denseveyor® system and the absence of pipeline boosters ensures
maximum operating reliability without streamers
and with the lowest conveying air requirement.
Polymers
and plastic powders and resins benefit from the
features of low velocity transfer and there are
many installations using the Denseveyor® for rates
to 50 tons/hour.
The
MiniDenseveyor® is applied
for smaller applications for powder or pellet
transfer and distribution to process feeding
bins in a typical factory situation.
